“A pianist with wonderful firm, clear touch” (New York Times), “fascinating interpreter" (Tagblat, Germany), “artist of depth and virtuosity” (The Time Argus, USA), Steinway Artist Golda Vainberg-Tatz performed in Vilnius, June 2018 the Mozart “Coronation” Concerto K. 537, premiered the Piano Concerto, dedicated to her by Jan Radzynski (1951) with St. Kristoforas orchestra. Among other orchestral performances: with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra (the Moscow State Conservatory Tchaikovsky Grand Hall), Shanghai Philharmonic, Lithuanian National Symphony, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, St. Kristoforas Orchestra, Kaunas State Symphony Orchestra in Lithuania, Raanana Sinfonietta in Israel, Ann Arbor Symphony in Michigan, Cincinnati Symphony.
As a recitalist and chamber musician she was heard in Europe, Russia (Grand Tchaikovsky Hall, Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory), Israel, USA ( Merkin Hall, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Kaufman Hall, Canada (Glen Gould Hall in Toronto), and China, including numerous collaborative recitals with Raimundas Katilius, the Vilnius String Quartet in Lithuania and USA. Other performances took place in Mozarteum Festival in Salzburg (Grosse Festspiele), Vilnius Festival in Lithuania, St. Petersburg Palaces Festival in Russia, Puigcerda Music festival in Spain, International Academy in Italy, Shanghai Conservatory International Festival, and the Shanghai Himalayas International Piano Festival, (performing with Andre-Michel Schub and Shanghai Philharmonic the Mozart double concerto in E flat Major, K.365). She has recently performed in Milan ( Italy) with Quartetto Nous in Sala Verdi for Fondazione La Società dei Concerti.
Golda received her musical education in her native Lithuania at Čiurlionis School of Arts, et Israel’s Rubin Academy of Music, Tel Aviv University and Manhattan School of Music, and The Juilliard School in New York. Recipient of the first prize in the Lithuanian State Competition for Young Pianists, full scholarships with distinction from the America Israel Cultural Foundation, Maurice Clairmont awards in Israel, top prizes in Young Keyboard Artists Competition in Michigan, the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, the Frinna Awerbuch International Competition in New York, the Prix- du Disque, French Piano Institute in Paris, the Palm Beach Invitational International Competition.
Serves as an associate faculty member at the Pre College, the Juilliard School, faculty at the Pre-College Division at Manhattan School of Music, Kaufman Center, Morning Music Bridge International Festival, Puerto Piano International Festival.
She gave masterclasses at the Jerusalem Academy of Music, Tel Aviv University, Shanghai Conservatory, Čiurlionis School of Arts (Vilnius, Lithuania), Kaunas spring piano festival, Olga Kern International Piano Competition. She has been kury member at the Malta International Piano competition, Canadian National Chopin Competition, Olga Kern International Piano Competition, Frina Awerbuch International Piano Competition in New York. In 2003 she has been appointed by Rosalyn Tureck as artistic director of the Tureck International Bach Competition in New York.
Among her mentors: Judith Gotler in Lithuania, Mindru Katz and Emanuel Krasovsky in Israel, Bella Davidovich (The Juilliard School) , Nina Svetlanova (Manhattan School), and Rosalyn Tureck. Her recordings include "The Portrait" (a solo recital, on FPI) French violin-piano sonatas with Raimundas Katilius (VSCD, Lithuania), Mozart piano concertos with Moscow Chamber Orchestra, piano music by Robert Schumann (3D, France) with highest critical acclaim by Fanfare and American Record Guide magazines, Moisei Vainberg's piano Quintet with Vilnius String Quartet (Delos,USA)
